This installation explored the relationship between mapping and creating artworks. The materials used are materials of places; layers of paint built up from a palette, waste wall paint from around old university buildings, shards of artworks that had been broken and old artworks recovered. This installation explores map making as a process which was traditionally about control and power, and provides alternative ways of understanding landscape through layering, reclaimed materials and different ways of knowing a place.
